Camp Loon is located in the channel between 6th & 7th Lakes, and sits on almost 3 acres of land, backing up to protected State Land.
We have almost 120' of waterfront, providing just the right amount of privacy from neighboring camps.
At lakefront enjoy our expansive dock, Adirondack chairs, table & benches and ADK wing...take in the views of Black Bear Mountain and lake reflections!
Exactly 100 steps from our dock to the front steps of Camp Loon...
Don't miss the wildlife in our "lagoon" area under our footbridge and surrounding our peninsula...bullfrogs, fish, turtles, ducks, even a stray kayaker from time to time!
Please be cautious...our property is naturally landscaped with rocks, stones, exposed roots and uneven terrain. Our property is not handicap accessible.
Our shoreline is a gradual grade and sandy bottom....perfect for little ones, or just dipping your toes in. The crystal clear waters of the Fulton Chain of Lakes offers great swimming! Please be advised, Diving is NOT allowed (water depth varies).
Keep your eyes opened...you may even spot a Mermaid!! (Our niece, Ciarra!)
Go explore! Feel free to use one of our canoes or our paddle boat and explore 6th and 7th Lakes! There are miles of shoreline to take in!

We highly recommend a twilight cruise to take in the sunset, calming waters, passing loons and beautiful lake views!
Or enjoy a day on the water swimming, basking in the sun and feeling the mountain breeze blow through!
(We do require gas be replaced please and pontoon boat is for transportation and leisurely boat rides ONLY...ABSOLUTELY NO tubing, skiing, other watersports
and NO fast, reckless boating!)
Camp Loon is a boat access only camp...private and serene, but NOT remote. The property is located on Sixth Lake, just as you enter the channel connecting Sixth & Seventh Lakes. Inlet is in the Adirondack Park, just north of Old Forge.
Parking and Boat Dock Access for Camp Loon is actually located at 313 Route 28, Inlet NY. (FOR GPS)
Turn down the driveway for 313 Route 28. There is a camp sign at the road "Sixth Lake Retreat" and "Camp Loon", and another "Camp Bethel".
Parking for up to (4) cars, parked tandem, is located directly next to the garage of "The Retreat". Do NOT park in parking spots closest to "The Retreat" camp. Do NOT block garage or driveway.
Take the walkway between "The Retreat" and red cottage down to Sixth Lake, and the dock. Camp Loon rental includes use of the SYLVAN (teal, gray & white) Pontoon boat (parked at the dock).
There are carts located near the garage at "The Retreat" and near the dock at "Camp Loon". These are for your convenience and hauling your supplies.
Please be courteous of guests of "The Retreat", as well as our friendly neighbors, The Barber's, in the red cottage. "The Retreat" dock is for docking, loading and unloading only. Please ONLY dock where instructed. Please return cart used at "The Retreat" as it is also used by guests at "The Retreat".
As you pull away from "The Retreat" head east on Sixth Lake. Camp Loon is located on the north side of the lake as you enter the channel, just after you drive between the Red & Green Channel Markers.
Look for our covered Boat Dock, Camp Loon sign and American Flag. If you approach the bridge you have gone too far
